Blossom Is Here To Help :

    1. As a foster carer, you go above and beyond for the children in your care. Therefore, you deserve to feel valued and supported in your role. As an approved foster carer, you’ll have a wealth of skills and experience that we will welcome. Whether you foster with an independent fostering agency or your local authority, you still have the option to move to another independent fostering agency, and we are here, ready to talk to you. 
    1. Blossom is owned by experienced social workers and the foster carers who have went through the similar procedure of fostering and are able to give more robust support on the varied matters which fostering brings.
    2. 24/7, 365 days support available to you over the call, if needed in person.
    3. Buddying you with another foster carers to sail you through your fostering journey.
    4. Counselling support to you or for the children in your care.
    5. Respite support as and when needed.
    6. Support to your birth children wherever applicable and if needed.

How to Transfer:

    Blossom Fostering will make enquiries from a number of agencies and these will include:
    1. The Police
    2. Department of Health
    3. Probation Service
    4. References from any person living in the household. This includes any person age 16 and over who Stays in the household on a regular basis and who sleeps there overnight.
    5. Birth child references who may no longer be living in the home
    6. Home Local Authority checks
    7. Education references for birth children of school age
    8. Ex-partner references
    9. Three personal references
    10. Employment References
    11. Name and address of their G.P.
    12. Copies of recent utility bills
    13. A copy of the Marriage/Divorce Certificate
    14. A copy of an updated mortgage statement.
    15. Proof of homeownership
    16. Proof of financial stability

Transferring is simple:

    1. The assessment period for transfers is usually shorter than for new applicants. There are some training exemptions, and we can access information and references shared by your previous fostering service. We aim to make your transfer smooth and simple, especially if you have children placed with you.
